What services does Lot 36 offer?
We provide individual counselling, couples counselling, low-cost therapy with trainee counsellors, and psychotherapy with qualified practitioners. Sessions can be held in person or online.

What happens during the consultation?
Consultations last 30–40 minutes. You’ll meet with a qualified counsellor to discuss your presenting issues, goals, preferences, and availability. We then match you with the most suitable therapist.

How much does counselling cost?
We offer 50-minute counselling sessions on a sliding scale based on your annual income. Fees are confirmed during your consultation. Payment is required 24 hours before each session.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your consultation or counselling session will result in the full session fee being charged.

What is your no-show policy?
If you do not attend a scheduled session without notice, the session will be charged in full.​

How many sessions do I need to commit to?
We ask clients to commit to a minimum of 12 weekly sessions to support consistency, trust-building, and therapeutic progress.​

Can I move to bi-weekly sessions later on?
Yes. After your initial 12 sessions, you may move to bi-weekly sessions if this is therapeutically suitable and agreed with your counsellor.​

How do I end counselling?

Endings are planned collaboratively to ensure a safe and supportive close.

Are trainee counsellors supervised?
Yes. All trainee counsellors are highly supervised weekly to ensure ethical practice and client safety.​

What is your confidentiality policy?

All sessions are confidential in line with the Data Protection Act.
Exceptions apply if: -
there is risk of harm to yourself or others,

there is a legal obligation to disclose information, or

statutory requirements apply.

How do I make a complaint?
If you wish to raise a concern or make a complaint, please contact us directly.​

Where are you located?
Our location: Fulham Green – Bedford House, 69–79 Fulham High Street, SW6 3JW. We are a 2-minute walk from Putney Bridge Station.​

How do I book a consultation?
You can book through our website, Instagram (Linktree), WhatsApp, or email. We will then confirm availability and next steps.​

Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. We offer both in-person and online sessions, depending on your preference and counsellor availability.​

Can I choose my counsellor?
You can express any preferences during your consultation — including gender, race, faith background, or counselling style. While we cannot always guarantee these preferences, we will make every effort to match you with the most suitable counsellor.​

How long are the sessions?
Counselling sessions are 50 minutes. Consultations are 30–40 minutes.​

Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
We offer a limited number of evening appointments, depending on counsellor availability. At this time, we do not offer weekend therapy sessions.

How soon can I start therapy after the consultation?
Typically within 3–7 days, depending on availability and therapist match

Can I switch counsellors if needed?
Yes. If you feel the match isn’t right, you can request a rematch and we will support you in finding another counsellor.​

Do you offer emergency or crisis support?
No. We are not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, please contact 999, the Samaritans (116 123), or your local A&E.​

Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We currently accept private health insurance from:
• Cigna UK
• WPA
• Bupa Global
• Vitality Health
All insurance-based clients must check their coverage and authorisation with their provider in advance.

Is there a waiting list?
At times we may have a short waiting list, especially for evenings. We will inform you if this applies and aim to offer you a place as soon as possible.​

What therapeutic approaches do your counsellors use?
Our counsellors are trained in a range of modalities including person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT-informed, integrative, and relational therapy. The modality depends on your assigned counsellor.​

What happens if I cancel multiple sessions?
​If there are three consecutive cancellations, we will need to discharge you from the service, as continued gaps significantly impact the therapeutic process and counsellor availability.​

Can I take breaks from counselling?
Yes, breaks can be arranged with notice, but frequent gaps may impact the therapeutic process. If you’re unsure, discuss this with your counsellor.​

Can I request letters or reports?
We can provide letters if needed, but they may incur an administrative fee depending on the request.​

Do you offer faith-based counselling?
Yes, if requested. As members of the Association of Christians in Counselling (ACC), we can match clients with counsellors who integrate faith into therapy if appropriate.​

What age groups do you work with?
We currently provide therapy for adults (18+).​
